Dr. Hamady Diop is an Associate Professor at Southern University. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Louisiana State University. He also earned Masters’ of Science in Economics and Agricultural Economics from Louisiana State University. Dr Diop has been a recipient of many grants and his research has been published widely in many scientific journals. He is currently teaching business statistics and economics principles (micro and macro). His areas of interests are natural resource economics, seafood production and marketing. Dr Diop is a board member of the Baton Rouge Center for World Affairs, the Socioeconomics Panel of the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council and Louisiana State Seafood Industry Advisory Board. Dr Diop has been recently awarded a one year training, coaching and mentorship in leadership through the Duke University Center for Effective Leadership Training (CETL) and Southern University as a partner.
