Luke Boutwell is a Research Fellow with the Center for Natural Resource Economics and Policy at Louisiana State University. His research focuses on issues related to environmental policy, climate change, natural hazards, coastal resource management, and agricultural conservation. He is currently analyzing the economic vulnerability of coastal communities to hurricanes. This research explores how vulnerability is associated with wetland loss, population growth, and climate change. Luke holds a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Louisiana State University, a B.S. in Geography from the University of Alabama, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Agricultural Economics at Louisiana State University under the direction of Dr. Rex Caffey.
