Jerrod Penn is an assistant professor in Louisiana State University’s Department of Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness. His work primarily focuses on environmental and resource economics, often at the intersection of resource/environmental impacts and policy with sustainability and society, leading to past collaborations with entomology, biology, forestry/wildlife, and hospitality/tourism. Recent projects include recreational coastal management, species conservation for butterflies and pollinators. His work also focuses with non-market and ecosystem service valuation methods. Jerrod also teaches courses related non-market valuation, resource/environmental economics and cost-benefit analysis. He also enjoys collaborative research/teaching efforts that have led to several teaching awards and undergraduate-authored research publications.
